The soundtrack to Disney’s Camp Rock is manna for sagging tween spirits: Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, and a handful of others well known among the Disney Channel-watching demographic wind their youthful voices around a maniacally catchy set of songs. Camp Rock clearly capitalizes on High School Musical’s winning formula: The story is timeless, and so are the songs, like Lovato’s uplifting “This Is Me” and the Jonas Brothers' rakish, angsty, “Play My Music.” Bright harmonies and hooks sturdy enough to hang an XXL varsity jacket on aren’t the only reason Camp Rock’s soundtrack rocks: Just when you thought the popular kids--Lovato, the Jonases and, to a lesser extent, Meaghan Martin--had a lock on all the best songs, newcomer Renee Sandstrom steps up to deliver a quiet stunner with “Here I Am,” a song that speaks to all tweens hoping to make the cut at music camp. -Tammy La Gorce

I really like the soundtrack. When I first listened I was disappointed because I expected something ...else..lol now I listen to it most every day while I get ready for my day. Its a great inspiration and I feel good listening to it.

My ten year old daughter begged me for this ablum for her Birthday. I downloaded it and I must admit that I actually like this one. I find myself "dancing" around the house while doing my chores and find that it give me a "pep" in my step. All three of my daughter love these songs and sing them all the time esp. in the shower! (Where is Simon when you need him?)
