I purchased this book because of my frustration with The Secret. This book provides valuable information regarding the Law of Attraction in a very concrete and specific way. It is well organized and well written, with a light hearted and compassionate viewpoint. There is a lot of information to digest whether you are on a search for love and prosperity or just trying to get to know yourself better. I have many books on this topic, and it feels to me like it takes the essence and most useful information from many sources and organizes and explains things very well. Let's face it, the law of attraction has been around for awhile so perhaps depending on how much you read there may not be a lot of brand new information to be had. However, it is great to have it all in one spot in such a coherent form and with great examples. I find it amazing that something that is theoretically so simple can be difficult to execute (for me) and I'm looking forward to seeing great results from this great addition to the LOA library! I think this will be my "go to" reference book for the LOA.
Stick with "The Secret" (2008-12-07)

This book tries to do what "The Secret" does but I didn't find it very helpful. It tries to go into more detail than "The Secret" does but to it's downfall believe it creates more confusion than enlightenment. I like things simple,easy to understand and practical to apply. I believe anyone that works "The Secret" to the point of action will not need this book. "Attraction Distraction" goes a step further talking about God although in very general terms. "The Secret" calls it the universe. I replaced the word "universe" in "The Secret" with "God" every time they mention the word "universe". I believe and study the Bible and believe there is one God and through His wonderful son Jesus Christ we have fellowship with God and our prayers answered through Him. The Bible teaches the Law of Believing works for saint and sinner alike so what is taught in "The Secret" or this book are true principles to those who practice them. I believe next to the Bible "The Secret" does a much better job explaining and "simplifying" the techniques that are the basic principles for living life and getting what you want and need. I also found "Attraction Distraction" a harder book to read and it didn't capture my attention like "The Secret" did. I couldn't put down the book "The Secret" and purchased the Video as well, which I was just as impressed with as the book.

Then you will want to consult The Attraction Distraction whenever new seeds of desire are planted in your soul, when you feel stuck in negative patterns, or when you feel ineffective in creating your dreams.
I have studied metaphysics for thirty years, and this is the first book in several years about which I can say: This is more than just a good book--it is a handbook for happy, healthy, productive, transformational living!
